Where Arbor lands vs. the rest of the industry
$13,600 instead of $18,000+.
A single IVF cycle in the U.S. typically lands somewhere between $15,000 and $25,000 once monitoring, anesthesia, embryo work, and storage are billed separately. Here's how Arbor's IVF package ($10,000), frozen transfer ($3,000), and first year of storage ($600) compare.
| Cost item | Arbor Fertility | National Average |
|---|---|---|
| IVF base + ICSI | Included | $12,000–$15,000 |
| Anesthesia for retrieval | Included | $700–$1,200 |
| Embryo transfer | Separate ($3,000) | $1,500–$3,000 |
| Cycle monitoring | Included | $1,000–$2,500 |
| Year-one frozen storage | Separate ($600) | $600–$1,000 |
| Total typical out-of-pocket | $13,600* | $18,000+ |
*Arbor total = $10,000 IVF package + $3,000 frozen embryo transfer + $600 first-year embryo storage. National averages compiled from published industry data including ASRM, FertilityIQ, and RESOLVE; individual costs vary by clinic and treatment plan. Medications are billed separately at every clinic, including ours.
Insurance & financing
We work with your benefits, not against them.
We're in-network with several Missouri and Illinois plans — and we'll check your benefits for you before treatment begins. Even when we're out-of-network, our published pricing typically beats post-deductible "in-network" billing at competitor clinics.
Carriers we work with regularly include Cigna, Anthem BCBS, UHC Commercial, Aetna, Humana, Ambetter, Oxford, Oscar, and GEHA. Your insurance company has the final say on what's covered, but we'll do the legwork up front so there are no surprises.
Verify your benefits — we'll come back with a written estimate within two business days.
Pick the path that fits
Three ways to pay for your care.
Whether your treatment is fully self-pay, partly covered, or stretched across a payment plan, there's a path that doesn't put cost between you and your family.
Pricing questions, answered.
What does the $10,000 IVF with ICSI fee include?
The fee covers IVF coordination, transvaginal ultrasound monitoring, Needle-Free IVF (if you’d like it), anesthesia, egg retrieval, sperm preparation, ICSI fertilization, embryo culture and freezing, and a virtual follow-up appointment. Embryo transfer (frozen embryo transfer $3,000) and embryo storage ($600/year) are billed separately. Medications are billed separately because the protocol varies with each patient — we publish typical medication ranges and quote yours specifically during your consult.
Are there any add-on costs we should plan for?
Outside the package price: the frozen embryo transfer, medications, embryo storage, genetic testing (PGT-A or PGT-M, if you choose), diagnostic testing and infectious disease screening, and laboratory fees. Each is quoted in writing before treatment begins. We do not bill anesthesia, embryologist time, or monitoring ultrasounds as add-ons — those are part of the published fee.
Do you accept insurance?
We're in-network with Cigna, Oscar, Anthem BCBS, UHC Commercial, Ambetter, Oxford, Aetna, Humana, and GEHA. Even when we're out-of-network, our published price is often lower than the post-deductible billed total at in-network competitors. We'll verify your specific benefits before you commit to anything.
What if I need multiple cycles?
Each subsequent IVF cycle uses the same $10,000 fee — no escalation, no "second cycle premium." If you started with egg freezing and decide to transfer later, the frozen embryo transfer is a separate, lower fee that we quote at consult.
How does shared egg freezing pricing work?
Shared Egg Freezing pairs a patient who wants to freeze eggs for personal use with a recipient family that needs donor eggs. The two parties share the cost of one stimulation cycle, which lowers what each pays. Pricing depends on cycle yield and recipient match — we walk through it in detail during your consult.
Do you offer financing?
Yes — we work with two outside financing partners that offer six, twelve, and twenty-four-month payment plans with a soft credit check. Approved patients can use the plan to cover the full fee or just the gap after insurance. Application happens during your consult and most decisions come back the same day.
Have questions about your specific situation?
Every fertility journey starts with a 30-minute consult — $100 virtual, $200 in person. We'll walk through your history, the path that fits, and exactly what it will cost. No pressure, no upsells.
