Our story
A Midwest practice, built around the patient.
Arbor Fertility was founded in St. Louis on a simple idea: the medicine is hard enough on its own, and the bills shouldn't be the part that breaks anyone. So we built a different kind of clinic — one that publishes every price, names every family structure, and treats your fertility journey like the personal experience it actually is.
Dr. Zarek opened the practice after fifteen years of caring for fertility patients across the Midwest. She kept hearing the same thing: I just want to know what this is going to cost. So we put the prices on the website. All of them. Same fee schedule for everyone, no matter who you are or what your insurance looks like.
We chose the name Arbor for a reason — it's the Latin word for tree, and we believe families grow the way trees do: rooted in patience, branching in unexpected directions, sturdier than you think. That metaphor lives in every part of how we work, from our $100 ROOTS™ entry-level testing to the way we name family structures explicitly.
And we built Arbor to feel warmer than the cold-marble fertility clinic. Real photos, plain English, conversational answers to your awkward questions, and a doctor who gives out her cell phone number. At Arbor, you always see the doctor — not a rotating cast of providers — and our Spanish-speaking patients are supported with professional interpreter services at every visit. We call it concierge reproductive endocrinology care — premium-but-warm, accessible-but-personal.

Affordable, transparent pricing
Every fee on the website, priced to be within reach. Same schedule for everyone. No quote-only pricing, no vague "starting at" language, and no surprise bills after the cycle.
Warm clinical care
CAP-accredited lab, board-certified medicine, plain-English explanations. We chose 70% warm and 30% clinical — not the other way around — on purpose.
Personalized treatment
No two paths are the same. Dr. Z personally meets every new patient, and we tailor every protocol — from gentle Needle-Free IVF to standard ICSI — to your story.
Community access
Seven locations across St. Louis, Mid-Missouri, and Southern Illinois, plus our main headquarters in Chesterfield. A 10% discount for educators, veterans, first responders, and healthcare workers. Care should reach the whole region.
Founder spotlight
Meet Dr. Shvetha Zarek.
Dr. Z is a double board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist with over 15 years of experience caring for fertility patients across the Midwest. A second-generation doctor and proud daughter of immigrants, she trained at Georgetown, the University of Virginia School of Medicine, George Washington University, and the National Institutes of Health — and she founded Arbor to make every part of that institutional excellence feel like a real conversation between two humans.
She personally meets every new patient, gives out her cell phone number, and answers her own messages. She has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor and a St. Louis Magazine Top Doctor — both seven years running — and the #1 Reproductive Endocrinologist in Missouri on RateMDs. But she'd rather you remember her as the doctor who told you the price before the second visit.
